Merry Christmas From RockSTARRMom!

Well, it's 9:50 am on Christmas morning, and we've been going strong for hours. The RockStarrKids actually got up at 3 AM!!!!!! We sent them back to bed but there was very little sleeping going on.

I received some beautiful gifts from the RockStarrHubby that i just had to show off. They are SO perfect!

A beautiful necklace and earring set from Swarovski. Do you see anything appropriate about these???



I tried to take my own pics but there is a glare from all of that sparkle! I do wish i could show a pic of the earrings from the side. The post part of the earring has a star shape from that side-angle as well. They are very sparkly and now that i have these oh so nice pieces of jewelry to wear, my love will have to take me out to show them off. :) i think the RSHubby did a very good job this year.

You big FAKER!

So, i've been itching to get my nails done. I used to get them done regularly. It was like, oh, between $35 and $40 a month for fills, and then of course i'd want to get pedicures while i was there. But I HATE when i have my nails done (with acrylics) and then like, my leg itches. i swear scratching never satisfies with those big thick fakes on. So i have to ask hubby or go find a comb. It's really lame. And then the underside of the nails get dirty and gunked up and i can never keep them as clean as i'd like...

And then i'm tired of the french mani (glitter or no) and decide i want purple or fuschia, but i WILL NOT paint bold or bright colors on long ol' nails. So then i start itchen' to ditch the nails, and i have to wait a month and a half for the crappy torn up bendy-weak acrylic aftermath real nails to grow out. Do i really want to commit to all this right now?

NO.

So, i revisted yesteryear, my childhood, one of my most fave things as a little girl - PRESS ON NAILS! Woot! They aren't made by "Lee" anymore, the ones i got are by "Kiss". But oh my god they're great! And my commitment is only for 7-10 days. As soon as i put them on i felt 10 times prettier. and i swear you just do things different when your hands look great with any kind of manicure. For example, you pick things up more gracefully. Like you're about to display them to the crowd on the Price is Right.

So, inevitably, in a few days i'll be tired of them and be ready to wear a short purple mani, and it'll be all good! If you want a quick lift of your spirits, or you haven't time to get a mani before the office xmas party, glue on some fakes! LOL! You'll be pleasantly surprised.

In shock, must SITS down!

Imagine, you wake up one morning, stumble around while the coffee brews, sit down at the computer to check the status of an online order that you're obsessing about, and as your sleepy eyes blink into focus, you find that your inbox has 984573894573957 new messages. And all but 3 of those are related to your blog. The blog that you haven't even nurtured so well because you're husband has needed your attention and nursing for months.

And suddenly, your eyes go wide, your brain fires up and as if it were a Christmas miracle, you realize it's your SITS day. THANK YOU LADIES! I have to say i am floored, i am honored, i am excited to see you all here. I am still in a bit of shock and trying to figure out what I'll wear on this oh-so-special day of my life. But i am so happy to have you all here and hope you enjoy your visit!

When i originally sent in my 3 fave post submission to SITS, i had not yet written this one, and since this day is such a surprise, i never had the chance to tell those girlies how much i want the world to read it. Nope.

So Macy's never called, but can I say i'm sort of relieved? Not that i didn't want to go work there for the holidays - i thought a break from the house would be awesome... But during the second interview it became clear that i would NOT be playing with make-up. I guess when you are part time, temporary, holiday help, they frown on setting you loose with make up around the customers. Soooooooo, i was only going to be cashiering, no make up fun, no commission...

The only good thing i lost out on was that employee discount. DANG IT!

Cosmetics Counter

Hi! You have such a beautiful complexion... Have you ever considered enhancing it with Bare Escentuals mineral make up?

That's gonna be my interview line. What do you think? That's right - I'm interviewing for a job at a cosmetics counter. I am SO excited. As I have ZERO experience in retail, it may be a total long shot, but i'm gonna give it all i've got. Cross your fingers for me!!!

I'm haven't been around in so long, i have a ton of reviews and a few tutorials to get up here. It may be tricky since it's the holiday season and I MAY soon be employed, but I'm gonna get caught up I PROMISE! |
